Details:
Moon meet Venus above a small village in Sichuan province of China. This conjunction appears during Guyu (Grain rain), one of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. Every year, from April 19 to 21, when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 30°, It indicates that there will be plentiful rainfall and it’s the best time for sowing in agriculture. The scene remind me the poem <> by Xin Qiji. Startled by magpies leaving the branch in moonlight, I hear cicadas shrill in the breeze at midnight. The ricefields’ sweet smell promises a bumper year; Listen, how frogs’ croaks please the ear!
