Details:
We reached this time of year where the northern horizon never gets totally dark anymore. Nevertheless, the Aurora season is just not over yet!
When the sky got dark enough, and despite the full moon, we witnessed a beautiful explosion of green, with again several moments with the purple nitrogen fringe.
The solar wind speed was quite slow around 300 km/s, however with a persistently negative Bz all evening and night, I guess this was enough to spark those beautiful auroras!
Just in case, I said "goodbye" and until September, but who knows, maybe we get more luck in the coming days. Either way, what a great night, again, in Utsjoki in Finnish Lapland!
