Details:
Venus will crosses Pleiades between April 2 to April 4 this year. The event will be observed over west horizon. Best conditions are at end of local nautical twilight. According to fact that 13 sidereal periods of Venus almost precisely lasts 8 sidereal periods of the Earth the Venus occurs at the same place on the sky after 8 years. Little difference between periods causes shift of Venus positions to the west for each consequent transit across Pleiades. Last transit trough central part of the cluster will be in 2060. Next series starts in 2239.
