Details:
The planet Venus continues to shine like a silvery-white beacon in the western sky; not setting for about 3 hours after sundown. On this night, March 28, the lovely crescent Moon joined the bright planet at dusk, making for an eye-catching pair of celestial jewels. The passing clouds were the last remnants of a storm system that rapidly moved through Iowa. The glow in the western sky was just enough to paint the scene and illuminate the clouds above.
