The green line in the middle is my first photo of comet C/2019 Y4 Atlas taken last night. This is a comet that was discovered in December 2019 and it is a really exciting comet since it is getting really bright, really fast. At the moment of this photo the comet was located almost at Zenith and at a distance of 1 AU (That same distance as between the Earth and the Sun) and a magnitude around 8.5. Comet Atlas will reach Perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on 31 May, 2020 and its closest approach to the Earth just two days earlier on May 23. Let's hope the comet holds together and that it continues to brighten to a really spectacular show in the sky. I didn't use a tracker for this photo, that's why the stars and the comet are like lines (Star trails) due to Earth's rotation. 12x60 seconds exposure at ISO 6400 f/5.6 with Nikon D810A and Nikon 180/2.8 ED AI-S Photographer Göran Strand, Sweden https://astrofotografen.se https://instagram.com/Astrofotografen
