What a great night to be in Finnish Lapland! 16th March seems to be a productive day, year after year (check out the 17th March 2019 archive on spaceweather.com for last year's pictures!). No G1 this year, but strong auroras nonetheless, for most of the time between the moment it got dark enough to 1 AM when I am writing these lines. Bz was negative most of this time, sparking beautiful green Auroras, with a hint of purple, that were spreading in about 80% of our sky. I am excited to see what the next nights are going to be made of here in the far north of Finland!
