It was clear right from the beginning that it will be a great night! Auroras started dancing right after the sunset. However, I knew that the big bang was coming, as the solar wind speeds increased over 500 km/s, and the Bz went south. Surely enough, at 11PM, the sky ignited with colours with 3 huge waves of auroras, one culminating in a beautiful corona above me. Wonderful Leap Day auroras!
