>>> Shadows from Another World <<< This photo took quite a bit of effort and patience, it also involved the use of three tripods, one white Canvas , small telescope as subject, camera to take the actually photo and complete darkness - but what is actually going on here though ? If you look closely you can see that all the stars are out of focus, so maybe for once this is not about them. The telescope appears to be in perfect focus and the canvas - but again it's not about them either, this photo is about the shadow of the telescope casted on the canvas, although the shadow is faint and fuzzy it is very special for one reason.. This shadow was produced by the light of another world - VENUS. We all are aware of shadows created by the Sun and Moon, but I bet most are unaware that a bright planet like Venus can created shadows too under the right conditions. The Milkyway can also produced shadows under trees and cars but these are a lot harder to see. I was able to hold my hand in front of the canvas about 2 inches away and see the shadow of it - quite a moment to know that the light producing this was from that bright planet over my right shoulder.
