Details:
These pictures taken over a seven minute interval on Friday evening show the Sun setting behind Hospital Hill with a bright iridescent cloud above. Tiny ice crystals in this high cloud were reflecting light from the setting Sun to produce a colourful display. The cloud was brightest when it was directly above the setting Sun and the colors faded as the Sun disappeared below the horizon. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
