Details:
A complete departure of the rains has resulted in exceptionally clear blue skies in the early mornings. This has enabled unusual views of the Waning Moon rising above trees just after sunrise to be obtained. The following pictures taken between the 15th and 20th December show four phases of the daytime Moon (from Waning Gibbous to Third Quarter and Crescent) close to sunlit upper branches of indigenous trees. All are merged near and far focus images so foreground and background are both sharp. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in scenery mode.
