Details:
I was finally able to find the time to complete a composite image using PS5 of the Mercury Transit from November 11. Unfortunately, I was imaging in the parking lot at my place of employment and had to return to work during the event, hence, the large gap in data. Images were taken at 5 minute intervals from 7:50am EST until 9:30am EST and again from 12:42pm EST until 1:02pm EST. I used a Meade LX50 10” SCT with a focal reducer (f/6.3) and a Canon XS DSLR at ISO800. Exposure times were 1/400th to 1/500th second based on thickness of high clouds. At least I was able to do some astronomy outreach sharing this rare event with coworkers.
