Details:
Well the last 3 days has been quit difficult for aurora hunters with with the magnetic field been closed tight for most of the night with thick layers of clouds on each level of the sky. But tonight the clouds parted and the magnetic field Bz flipped enough to let the incoming solar wind into earth with the Kp rising to number 2 , giving us this lovely display that you see now. Sometimes i don't like the almost full moon other times its perfect. My guests from Asia where thrilled to bits to see a any activity at all, they where so happy and so much fun to be with. I was hoping to see the star-link satellite train to catch an aurora image with the train, but not sure if its visible in the tromso Northern hemisphere. Marianne Bergli
