A great success! At first I watched the transit in the garden with my father and our telescope, then to Radebeul at the observatory. The transit of Mercury could be observed in Saxony, Germany, from beginning to end in glorious weather. But the seeing was bad. Height of the sun is only 8 degrees above the horizon in the photo. A nice event on the observatory Radebeul with delicious snacks, the regional TV station, livestream of the transit on the internet and many visitors! For the photo we used our 14-inch Maksutov-Newton telescope. Details: Canon EOS 6D, 14-inch-MN, ISO 200, 1/800s
