Details:
There was purple extending well into the sky in long exposures as dawn advanced. The first twilight was very reddened by smoke along the Eastern horizon. It rose with a brilliant orange color above the smoke, cloud shadows foreshortened with distance near the horizon here and there. These steadily swept across the twilight glow and made the Purple Light appear like diffuse beams aligned with the still hidden Sun.
Again, linear texture in the light catching layer was obvious, extending across the entire twilight. It appeared just like that seen the previous night, diagonally arranged as if converging unseen this time toward the Southeast. The dimmed Sun allowed this texture to be readily photographed for a time after Sunrise.
