Details:
It’s now over six weeks since Saturn was at opposition and so far this is the best image that I’ve been able to take of the beautiful ringed planet when the sky was nice and stable on the 23rd July. You can see the Cassini division in the rings very clearly and some lovely cloud detail on the surface; Saturn’s beautiful rings are now starting to close back up after being fully on display late in 2017. Image was taken with a Meade LX200 (GPS) 10inch telescope at prime focus using a ZWO ASI120MC-S camera with a 3x Barlow lens attached. An AVI movie file was captured with 2000 frames, then stacked in RegiStax6 and processed in PS CS4 :-)
