Details:
A good strong classic volcanic twilight, seen first as a whitish streaky horizontal texture across the Western sky at Sunset. The Earth shadow rose to the East with an unusually bright reddish pink border, and anti-crepuscular rays were seen converging on the anti solar point within this reddish band. Soon this reddish color reached the West, first in the upper portion of the whitish textured region above the hidden Sun. Soon the entire Western twilight glow turned an orange pink, and cloud shadows were cast on the high twilight layer as it shone with a pink color compared to the brighter yellow orange twilight nearer the horizon. The lighter pinker component with the cloud shadows soon faded. The remaining orange horizon glow persisted for many minutes, reddening and becoming sharper in its upper border. Beautiful display, it brought back memories of past eruption influenced twilights.
