Details:
As I was ready to pack my stuff after a night shooting the Perseids Meteors Shower, I turn my head to the left and I noticed a faint green glow moving slow at the horizon. I pointed the camera, took a check shot and to my surprise the Aurora made an unexpected appearance. Checked the data and beside other parameters I noticed the hemispheric power started climbing from 10GW to 23GW, the Interplanetary Magnetic Field was pointed south, the speed of solar wind was not bad, around 450 Km/s. Was a perfect end of the night. After downloading the photos I also noticed that in some frames I caught some Perseids meteors along with Aurora…The dawn and the clouds added a special effect, making an surreal picture. I was quite delight for this special combo at the end of the day(Nikon D800, Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8, ISO 2500 & 3200; 3 &6 seconds exposure 20mm, Kakwa, Alberta, Canada, August 13, 2019).
