Details:
I was out taking some photos of the Milky Way. There was no
Moon, the sky was clear and no wind. I was taking photos over a lake and hoping to get
some reflections of the stars and planets on the water. About 12:15 local time a very bright
object caught my eye. It was the ISS, no mistaking it! Then I noticed a dimmer, but still very
noticable satellite following it. It took me a minute to remember that there was a launch of a
SpaceX Dragon Cargo spacecraft not too long ago. I was seeing them both, a first for me! I
quickly aimed my camera at them and took one quick photo. As I was taking the picture, they
slowly entered into the Earth's shadow and faded from view. I also included one of the reflection photos I was trying to take.
Taken with a Canon 70D and a
Sigma 14mm F1.8 Art lens. Exposure of f2.2, 21 seconds and 3200 ISO.
