Details:
Partially cloudy sky prevented the thin waning crescent Moon of 1st July from appearing immediately above the horizon. However as it continued to rise it became visible from time to time through gaps in clearing cloud. As it did so it was noticed that the Earthshine portion had occluded a tiny Gemini star which emerged from behind it and slowly moved away before both faded into the brightening dawn sky. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in manual exposure mode.
