Details:
Since 2014 I 'spot' these clouds (before that I didn't know that they exist at all! :-) ), and the first time I saw them I was very excited, logically... But honestly; every other year was a little bit disappointing... :( I think because of the beautiful pictures on this website: in a lot of country's (mostly more northern or east Europe) they are (always) so bright! And with a huge display! Over here, in The Netherlands, sometimes I have to look through my camera, because 'my naked eye' couldn't see it at all... But suddenly last Wednesday evening (and Thursday night) there was a gift from mother nature! I went outside at 11:30PM, a bit too late; because they were already in the sky! (for the last few years it was about midnight when they appear) Really; I almost screamed in my car, OMG they were so bright, so huge, so everything! I had to change my camera settings also; so luminous! It felt like the first time again! And now; now I can't wait for the next time, just like 2014... ;)
