Details:
I was walking my dogs at lunchtime when I noticed a rainbow in the sky running almost parallel to the horizon. I looked higher in the sky and realized it was part of a double halo around the sun. I quickly walked back home and grabbed my camera. The entire inner halo was visible but only parts of the outer halo were visible. The outer halo was also way too large to fit on to a single frame.
The images were captured with a Canon DSLR and 24mm wide angle lens.
