Details:
For the past three days (June 9th-11th) Mercury and the Gemini star Mebsuta have been observed setting behind Transmitter Hill, Mutare at twilight. On the 9th Mebsuta was some distance above Mercury, on the 10th it was in close conjunction with Mercury and on the 11th it was some distance below as shown in the composite photograph and screen captures from the in-the-sky.org Online Planetarium. The pair are shown setting on the 10th in a x30 speed time-lapse animation and in a still close-up in which Mebsuta has a distinct orange-yellow color. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scenery and manual exposure modes with up to x90 optical+digital zoom magnification.
