Details:
This aurora seemed to spell "ET" over McMurdo Station, Antarctica. If you look closely, to the left of the NASA/McMurdo Ground Station (aka "the Golf Ball"), a laser beam is shining into the night sky. A science team here is using LIDAR to study meteoric dust in the upper atmosphere. Details: Fujifilm X100F, 2500 ISO, F2, 6.5s exposure.
