Details:
Spotted the iridescent clouds while taking the dog for a walk along a local river. As the sky was too bright, I used the reflection on the river to take the pictures.

This is the best way to notice these near-sun phenomena - when the water surface is quiet of course. Otherwise, shop windows and not-to-curveous car windows are good alternatives. Direct observation of coronas and cloud iridescences is only possible with dark sun glasses.
