This is not cloud iridescence, since iridescence is a phenomenon by diffraction and interference in water droplets. The arc-en-ciel-colours in this image are caused by refraction in ice crystals and are a manifestation of the so-called circumhorizontal arc (en francais: arc circumhorizontal), which is one of the large number of ice crystal halo forms. It appears far below the sun when those is high in the sky.
