Details:
The top of the image shows the smooth maria of southern Oceanus Procellarum, with Flamsteed at the top central part of the image. Buried remnants of larger craters are noted in the area including Letronne on the right margin of the image. Hansteen and Billy lie near the center of the image with jagged, bright arrowhead-shaped mountain, Mons Hansteen between. It lies just to the right of its namesake crater, and is thought to be a type of highland dome, formed by highly viscous lavas. Below those two craters, rugged rubble, perhaps ejecta from Mare Orientale, follows the terminator to the bottom of the image.
