Details:
A wild explosion of auroras ripple, hook, curl & slash their way through moonlit clouds outside of Fairbanks, Alaska on April 15, 2019 at 11:33 pm local time (April 16, 7:33 am UTC). By far the best part of Monday night occurred in the 60 seconds these auroras went insane. Something must have totally snapped in our magnetosphere and it appeared things were moving at light speed. The auroras did not care that is wasn’t completely dark or that there was a big, bright waxing gibbous moon, they shredded the twilight! I tried to freeze-frame it with this half-second exposure.
