Thought I would see if I could snap a couple of pictures of AR2738 without using a telescope. I was somewhat surprised, it was cloudy, but not even clouds could obscure the region’s dark core. I must say that my photo are not as detailed as the wonderful images shared here. Maybe it time for a solar telescope. Although I believe I had a couple of years to save up for one!
