Details:
First half decent aurora for a while, but well worth the wait. This aurora was caused by a fairly weak coronal hole, with solar wind speeds sub 500 kms, but the associated magnetic field strength was reasonably strong and the field direction was favourable. I managed to catch some weak rays just before the moon set, but the strongest activity much later in the early morning twilight, with the low lying fog adding to the scene. Photo’s taken with a Sony a7 Sii, Samyang 14mm and Zeiss Batus 2/25 lenses. 2300, 0240 and 0329 UTC, 9th/10th April.
