Details:
What a night again in Finnish Lapland! Although it looks like the 2 CME's that were expected tonight missed our planet, eventually we witnessed some very pretty auroras.
The night started quietly around 9 PM, with a faint aurora band above the northern horizon. For about 3 hours, this band grew and shrank, without much action happening. I did however get the opportunity to take a photo I had been dreaming about for quite some now: reindeer with aurora.
Around 0:15 AM (local time), the sky became quite green, with the camera also revealing some purple. At some point, the Aurora was also moving quite fast, although nothing compared to what we had last Thursday.
So, no G1 storm tonight, but the auroras were really pretty nonetheless! It is now 2:15 AM, the Bz turned back positive, and it looks like it's over for tonight here in Finnish Lapland
