Details:
Out Northwest of Calgary on February 27, 2019 I was waiting for the aurora to appear as we were in the midst of the arrival of a coronal hole stream, while I was waiting I decided to point my camera in the direction of the constellation Auriga. Iwamoto was between to open star clusters M36 and M38. Afterwards the Aurora did show up.

Harlan,

This photo stuns my brain. I can consider myself a good amateur after 40 years but can only dream about the image you shot..... all these points of lights. I dont know what you shot it with but if its a real telescope, as I cant imagine its just a good retail camera and lens you bought at The Camera Store, Id be going out to buy it and sit out in the country dimness of summer for a few years. Im old and stuck in the city but the ability to see this in my camera would unstick me.
