Another great night in Abisko! I was out of town for the evening when my phone started vibrating with messages and alerts coming in every couple of seconds. When I checked the notifications, I was pleasantly surprised to have several of our guides telling me that they were watching an incredible aurora display with our guests. At nearly the exact same time, I received a message from the spaceweather.com aurora alert system informing me to be ready for a powerful aurora display. We are often asked by our guests to recommend the best possible aurora forecasting software available and I am happy to say that Dr. Tony Phillips’ new alert system is the most accurate, up to date, real time predicting software available!!Last night was easily the best night of the season and perhaps the best night that most of our veteran guides have ever experienced – just as predicted by our friends at www.spaceweather.com!
