The false Dawn II Absolutely incredible evening by the coast with, probably, brightest Zodiacal Light I have ever seen and explosion-shaped clouds! Taken slightly after the beginning of the astronomical darkness (20:30 local time). Because of thin layer of clouds, both star size and brightness is increased. Canon EOS 6Da + Samyang 24mm f/1.4 + iOptron skytracker Sky: 100 seconds, f/4, ISO 3200 Foreground: 83 seconds, f/2.8, ISO 3200 Follow me for more astrophotography: instagram.com/rmerzlyakov/ facebook.com/rmsphotography95/ vk.com/rmerzlyakov95

The lens I used was the Samyang 14mm f/2.8, not 24mm

Really vivid, for those of us who have only imagined we have seen zodiacal light! Thank you!

Your words after the beginning of the astronomical darkness so how are the pink clouds illuminated? They should be darker than the stars. Mercury is lower left of Aries near center of your image.

This is Mars, not Mercury, which is below the horizon.

The clouds are illuminated due to light pollution and have HUE shifted.
