Details:
While taking pictures of the waning Moon below Venus and Jupiter, there was a dramatic change in the late dawn sky with the appearance of spectacular crepuscular rays radiating from the sunrise point on the eastern horizon in Mozambique. The first indication that something unusual was going to happen was a change in sky color below the Moon to lilac. This was quickly followed by rising magneta plumes which, within two minutes, developed into an enormous fan of vivid crepuscular rays being projected along the skyline above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve. This magnificent display lasted for less than 5 minutes before fading. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
