cold (for us in Florida) but awesome. I wanted a different perspective on the eclipse in one image. I put two polarized filters on the lens and aligned them to allow as little light as possible thru. I opened the shutter 20 minutes before totality, then gently turned the outside filter 90deg(slight camera motion) to allow as much light in during the eclipse and left it that way for 10 minutes after totality. 90 minute exposure,f22,ISO100,35mm,Canon V/III. This was my first use of the variable filter, 90 minutes of exposure, changing the filter in the middle of a shot. There is no color enhancement here, just a little cropping. I had the camera mounted in a box with a hair drier blowing inside and a separate hair drier to warm the lens filters (and me) to keep the battery going and condensate off the filter. And stayed up until the noise reduction program finished- 3 hours of camera operation on one battery charge. What a night
