Details:
What a bonus the peak of the Geminid meteor shower and comet Wirtanen on the same night. Dubbed the Christmas comet by some, What better place to photograph the comet than a Christmas tree farm in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada. In this image you can see two Geminid meteors, the distinctive blue colour of Comet Wirtanen and the Pleiades star cluster above the large tree. Photographed early Friday morning as the comet was setting. This is a single 15 sec exposure, no photoshop composite trickery involved. Canon 6D, Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART lens at f1.8. Exposure 15 Sec at ISO 4000.
