Details:
It was a nice clear dark (after Moonset) night in Tucson, perfect for the Geminid peak. Watching perhaps less than a third of the sky much more than 50 meteors were seen by eye. With four cameras running numerous meteors were captured. Examples shown include the best Geminid fireball of the night just before breaking dawn (note Venus). A nice bright Monocerotid meteor that peaks about the same time as the Geminids, a small Geminid view to give a sense of place and experience watching the shower, and a Geminid with the comet as well as the Pleiades, Taurus, and Orion. A very nice night, and still lots more photos to check.
