Last night I finally got the opportunity to take my first photos of comet 46P/Wirtanen. The comet will soon be at its closest point to Earth so I wanted to get some pictures of as soon as possible. It was really cold last night with -25°C but it was totally worth freezing a couple of hours for getting theses first pictures of comet Wirtanen. In this wide field photo you see comet Wirtanen as a green dot in the upper right corner. To the left is constellation Orion with all its beautiful nebulas.
