Details:
With all the talk of this comet's coma size (tail is not apparent except in special long exposures), I thought it might show best as an inverted color image.
Comet 46p is about 1 degree from the bright star (smeared at top center). As you can see, the coma spreads quite a distance from the nucleus but is extremely tenuous.
