Details:
In this Gif and images Comet C/2018 V1 Machholz-Fujikawa-Iwamoto is about magnitude 7 and 71 million miles from Earth. It will be lost in the morning twilight November 28 and reappear in the evening twilight November 30 from Denver. It has a long thin Ion Tail above the coma and to the left and a very short wide Dust Tail above the coma in the black and white images, but the tails are not visible in the color Gif. The color Gif shows how the comet is moving rather quickly at 0.14 degrees per hour across Earths sky, each red, green, blue image used to create each color image was 60 seconds long, note how each star is a red, yellow, green, light blue, blue streak, this is the result of overlapping each red, green and blue image on the comet which is moving at 0.14 degrees per hour, which is quite noticeable even in the 3 minutes it took to collect the red, green and blue images. The comet will reach perihelion on December 3 when it will be only 36 million miles from the Sun, it should reach magnitude 5 at this time but may be lost in the evening twilight. The comet makes its close approach to Earth on November 27 when it will be 62 million miles from the Earth.
