Details:
A second attempt at imaging the new comet.
This time I used a SW150mm f5 Newtonian and a ASI224MC camera.
Light polution filter (this site is heavily light polluted as we have the Birmingham connurbation to the east, and the comet is at low altitude).
A 16 second exposure is all I can manage before the image becomes washed out.
Starting at 5.50 UTC 24 x 16 secs stacked in DeepSkyStacker. Contrast and image cropped in Gimp.
Some dust on the filter caused the "donuts" and not enough time to take another batch as the dawn started. The movement of the comet can be seen over the 6 min period. A faint ion tail could be seen but very hard to make out with the light smog, still great to see and and worth planning a trip to darker skies
