Have you seen them last night? Skies clear up at 9:30pm in Fairbanks, the right time to get ready for amazing night. It was game of waiting and practicing patience. 11:43pm ACE and DSCOVR satellite detected incoming storm. IMF shift south as far as -7nT and we knew Minor storm is coming. But with solar wind speed only 280km/s it took 87min to arrive to our Atmosphere. Between 2am-3am, we had amazing colorful Auroras. In one of the photo, you can even see 3 of the main colors. (Red,green and purple.) 3am right at magnetic midnight clouds cover our lake north of Fairbanks, but we had satisfied and happy clients.
