Fantastic and very coloured green flash of Venus. The planet was so low on the horizon that its shape was no longer perceptible and its light looked like a long fiery bubble, with flames of red, orange, yellow and green. When it then went below the horizon, the last ray was clearly green in color. The photo was taken with a smartphone at the eyepiece of a 12" dobson, at 76 magnifications. The sea is 8 km away from me!

Its usual when Venus is a crescent (and while its diameter is bigger), keep tracking it at its settings and youll get even better flashes! Some days ago I had this series of the setting Venus: https://www.flickr.com/photos/48975225@N08/44215334814/in/dateposted-public (with 600mm telephoto lens). It depends on the air quality and temperature profile at the horizon whether youll see a flash or not.

Did you post the wrong image? I do not see any green. No I am not colorblind. I do see green in the middle-most and some other images from the flickr page you link to, Should have cropped the middle dozen or so from there and used for this instead. Much better visualization of the green.
