Details:
Last night the 93% moon was shining bright behind a thin veil of high atmospheric cirrus clouds. The ice particles enabled a nice lunar halo that lasted for hours. At the aurora observatory on Senja island, Norway, our guests and myself were impatiently waiting for an aurora to show. No green was to be seen for hours, which is really unusual. But the still incoming stream of fast wind from a remnant coronal hole sparked a neat activity around 1-2 am LT and the aurora went south as well, into the halo! A very nice spectacle for our guests!
