The Japanese cargoship Kounotori HTV 7 on its way to the ISS made a very fine pass last night (26 September 2018, around 19:50 UT)as seen from Leiden, the Netherlands. It was 1m 38s behind the ISS and very bright (mag +1), with a distinct orange colour due to the gold insulation foil it is covered in. It briefly and brightly flared to mag -2/-3 at 19:50:18 UT. The single image, a 5-second exposure (19:50:17.25 - 19:50:22.25 UT), shows the flare moment. The other image is a stacked combination of 6 images, 19:49:47 - 19:50:52 UT. Canon EOS 60D + EF 2.0/35 mm, 800 ISO, 5 second exposures at 10-second intervals.
