Details:
On 15 September Mutare had unusually high concentrations of smoke from dry season burning of vegetation which formed brownish layers trapped underneath some stratus cloud. The accompanying x25 speed time lapse animation, which consists of 165 video frames captured at 1 second intervals, shows the setting Sun changing color as it descends behind shifting bands of smoke of varying density. The three stills illustrate how much smoke there was around to filter the sunlight. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode.

what program did you use to animate this? I always have trouble uploading animation to spaceweather.

I use online processing at either http://gifmaker.org or https://ezigif.com/maker. Ezigif has a very useful optimize function to reduce file size with little loss in quality - essential for uploading to spaceweather which has a limit of 5MB. Both services are free with no ads or watermarks.
