Details:
On the evening of 10th September the very young 1% of full Moon was observed setting behind a mountain to the west of Mutare at 6.16 pm at almost the same point as the Sun did 50 minutes earlier. The thin crescent, which was only 22 hours old, was very difficult to see with the naked eye due to haze and sunset glare but shows up quite clearly in the accompanying photographs and time-lapse animation. Camera: Tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
