At 00.30 LT on 03 Sept the Last Quarter Moon with almost straight terminator was observed rising above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve in Mutare. The first time-lapse animation and mosaic, which consist of 12 still frames taken over an interval of 1 minute, show it appearing from behind a nearby mountain. The second time-lapse, which contains 58 frames extracted from a 30 second video taken at higher magnification, shows it continuing to rise a few minutes later. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in manual exposure mode with up to x90 optical plus digital zoom.
