Nothing to see here___________YET. ++ Comet on course for a galactic encounter ++ While Comet 21P/ Giacobini Zinner is getting all the attention lately there is however another promising Comet set to make a close encounter with the Andromeda Galaxy in late October ( from our prospective) , that comet is 64P/swift-Gerhels. During the end of October the Comet is set to peak in brightness to 9.67 mag and set to be closest to earth on the 27th October at a distance of 66.55 million km. This is a few weeks out yet and anything can change in regards to comets and their behaviour, but I for one will be keeping a close eye on this... Will make for a nice celestial Treat for Halloween.. :) photo by Noelkeatingphotography.
