Details:
On 17 August the Moon was close to Jupiter and Venus was at its greatest eastern elongation from the Sun. Here is a picture of the Moon, Jupiter, Spica and Venus high in the late evening sky at 18.16 LT taken from underneath a tall tree fern illuminated by security lighting from my house. Camera: Hand held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scene mode.
